Travel Nurse RN - Hospice - $2,316 per week in Tucson, AZ

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Hospice Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year of Adult Home Health or Hospice experience License: Must have license in hand Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: Recent specialty experience Description: The RN in Hospice coordinates and directs the provision of home nursing care according to physician orders. This is based on policies and procedures thorough the competent application of the nursing process. The RN is responsible to the Clinical Manager. Direct supervision and evaluation of Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses is required. Home visits will be conducted regularly. Periodic office meetings are expected. The RN must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and agency-required liability insurance. The average number of patients per day is 5 to 8. Points are assigned per week based on visit types and activities, such as documentation and travel. Additional patient assignments may occur if the census is low. Types of cases include Start of Care, Wound Care, and Follow-up Visits. All documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the patient appointment. The RN must accept every patient on their schedule, regardless of travel distance. Weekly productivity points expectations are approximately 30. The RN must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from the assigned clinic. Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. All travelers must be proficient with HomeCare HomeBase and Oasis. No guaranteed hours are provided for this contract. The RN may float to a nearby clinic, if needed.
