The role involves working in a dedicated hospice house with a patient ratio of 6:1, ensuring timely assessments and charting while supporting patients and their families through the hospice journey.
Job Details:
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Wisconsin or compact Registered Nurse (RN) license; AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; 1-2 years of previous hospice experience; associate degree or certificate.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Float: Float rotation is not applicable for this position.
Additional Information:
Contract length of 13 weeks, with an immediate start date.
Guaranteed hours per week: 36.
Travel nurses may be put on call for low census hours, which will count toward unbillable hours. Call back hours will be paid at a minimum of 2 hours if called back to the facility.
The facility is a hospice house with 8 beds.
Charting is primarily remote using EPIC, with responsibilities including head-to-toe assessments, monitoring changes in patient condition, and documenting care provided.
Scrubs should be clean and work-appropriate.
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience as specified, though the minimum experience necessary for application is 0 years.
