Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Hospice Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 full year in Adult Home Health or Hospice License: Must have a valid nursing license Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: - Proficiency in HomeCare HomeBase EMR within the last 6 months. - Proficiency in OASIS within the last 6 months. Description: Coordinates and directs the provision of home nursing care according to physicians' orders. Follows agency policies and procedures through the competent application of the nursing process. Responsible to the Clinical Manager. Directly supervises and evaluates Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses. Required to conduct home visits and attend periodic office meetings. Must have reliable transportation, current driver's license, and agency-required liability insurance. Average number of patients per day is 5-8. Contractor will be assigned between 5-10 patients per day. Patient visits equate to roughly 6-8 points daily. Types of cases include Start of Care, Wound Care, and Follow-up Visits. Candidates must not be first-time travelers and should have recent specialty experience. Weekend requirements will vary per location and should be discussed during the interview. Candidates must be open to on-call rotations as per location requirements. Mileage reimbursement will follow IRS standard rates. It is expected that all documentation is completed within 24 hours of the patient appointment. Delayed and incomplete documentation that impacts billing and follow-up care will lead to cancellations. Candidates must accept all patient assignments on their schedule regardless of location. No guaranteed hours are provided; candidates must meet weekly productivity expectations. Opportunities to float to nearby clinics will be available if patient census is low.
