The RN House Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical and administrative leadership across the hospital during assigned shifts. The House Supervisor oversees nursing operations, coordinates patient care, manages staffing and patient flow, supports nursing staff, and ensures compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and patient safety requirements.

 

  • Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff across multiple departments during the assigned shift.
  • Monitor patient care activities and ensure safe, high-quality nursing care.
  • Coordinate staffing assignments, staff coverage, and replacement of absent employees.
  • Assess staffing needs based on patient census, acuity, and department requirements.
  • Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and bed assignments.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, ancillary departments, and other healthcare professionals.
