ND Global Consulting Services is seeking a travel nurse RN House Supervisor for a travel nursing job in Newark, New York.

**Shift entails 3, 8 hr shifts and 1 12 hr shift a week = 36 hrs a week total**
Ranging between the following shift times: 11p-7a (8hrs), 3p-11p (8 hrs), 7p-7a (12 hrs)

Avg. Daily Census: 180

Weekend Coverage: Every other
Previous Charge Experience: Required

Locals Accepted: N - must be > 75 miles

Patient Diagnoses: The RN supervisor serves as a resource for problem solving, providing clinical expertise, facilitates staff mentoring and coaching, and facilitates patient flow during the off shifts (typically evenings, nights, weekends and holidays) for the entire 180 bed facility that consists of 5 units that care for residents with diagnoses of dementia, DM, CVA, cardiac, orthopedic tx, etc.

Special Procedures/Unit Details:
Moore Place- neurobehavioral unit with residents with diagnosis of dementia or alzheimer's with violent behaviors.
Bilz unit- Rehab unit with residents s/p orthopedic surgery, cardiac procedures, etc that rehab to go home
Vantassel unit- secure dementia unit for residents at risk for elopement
Schulz unit- residents who are long term care
Wolf unit- residents who are long term care

Special Equipment: Wound vacs, PICC lines, nephrostomy tubes, tube feeds, indwelling catheters, colostomys, etc.

Certifications: BLS

Skills: Skilled Nursing Facility, Code Management, De-escalation techniques, Emergency preparedness, Managing Assaultive Behavior, Death of a patient - documentation and process, Fitness for duty, HIPAA guidelines (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act), Risk Management, Sentinel events-monitoring and reporting, Customer Service, Incident reporting, Infection control, Isolation procedures, Knowledge of regulatory requirements- DPH, TJC, OSHA, etc., Organizational escalation process for facility, Starting and maintaining IVs, Supervising nursing care delivered on all units organizationally, Workplace safety, New Admissions, Centralized staffing, Experience with productivity standards and staffing requirements, Coaching and counseling to performance standards, Federal and State scope of practice labor laws - FMLA, PICC Line care/management
