Position Overview

Seeking an experienced RN House Supervisor to oversee hospital operations and support patient care departments during the night shift.

This role involves staffing coordination, patient flow, bed management, operational support, and collaboration with clinical leadership. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, an effective multitasker, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-

paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee patient care departments and support smooth hospital operations.
• Monitor staffing levels and skill mix; adjust assignments based on patient acuity.
• Coordinate additional staffing when needed.
• Monitor hospital census and manage admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Identify available beds and coordinate placement of high-acuity patients.
• Facilitate patient flow and minimize delays in bed availability.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure appropriate support services.
• Communicate changes in patient status and operational needs to clinical teams and leadership.
• Assist with operational initiatives and special projects.

Requirements

• Active California RN License
• Previous House Supervisor experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and Fire Card

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

   

Additional Details

• Floating: May be required to float to departments within the nurse’s scope of specialty.
• Patient Ratios: In accordance with California staffing regulations.
• EMR: Epic
• Scrubs: Royal Blue or Navy Blue
• Parking: On-site
• PPE: Provided; fit testing available on-site.
