Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse position is located in a medical-surgical intensive care environment within a healthcare facility. This role involves providing advanced patient care for critically ill adults and geriatrics, utilizing specialized skills and certifications to manage complex clinical situations.

Job Details:

• Position Description: Medical-Surgical ICU
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts per week, minimum of 36 hours weekly
• Start Date: 09/22/2026
• End Date: 12/22/2026
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS* (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), PALS* (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Required Qualifications: Certifications listed above, valid license in the relevant state or jurisdiction, 2 years of relevant ICU experience preferred, experience charting in Epic or similar systems, clinical skills including arterial line management, ventilator management, infection prevention, and more.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in trauma level I or II environments, LTAC experience, community hospital experience, travel experience.
• Additional Details:
  • Patient ratios: 1:2 during nights
  • Clinical responsibilities include managing ports, administering chemotherapy, care of ventilated patients, central line care, neuro and stroke management, procedural sedation, and use of special equipment like CRRT and TAVR.
  • Staff support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation, radiology, and rapid response teams.
  • All onboarding must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing; hours are non-billable and completed onsite during orientation.
  • Compliance rules exclude candidates residing in specific counties and require valid state or compact licensure and listing of all RTO at the time of submittal.
