Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position is located at a healthcare facility in Fredericksburg, Texas. This role involves providing specialized patient care within the ICU setting, following established protocols and collaborating with the healthcare team. The position is scheduled for day shifts, supporting patient treatment and recovery efforts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Texas licensed registered nurse (RN) with BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications; 3+ years recent ICU experience; no experience minimum specified for the position; located within the state of Texas
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience as a charge nurse or in a multitasking and independent role; friendly, honest, flexible, compassionate, team-oriented, with strong critical thinking skills
• Position Location: 1020 S State Highway 16, Fredericksburg, TX 78624
• Additional Information: The role requires proficiency with equipment such as Phillips monitors, HillRom beds, Omnicell, GE EKG machine, Lifepak 20e defibrillator, Lucas device, and Verathon bladder scanner. EMR system used is Meditech Expanse. Typical patient ratios are 1:4-5, with protocols for STEMI, Stroke, Conscious Sedation, Chest Tubes, Codes, and Intubation.
• Shift Details: 12-hour day shifts, every other weekend, no on-call duties.
