Job Summary:
ICU Nurse, Intensive Care Unit, Albemarle, NC This role involves providing specialized nursing care to critically ill patients within a 10-bed ICU at a non-trauma hospital. The position requires a focus on stroke assessments, cardiac rhythm management, and critical care interventions in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Albemarle, NC
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, 18 months to 2 years of ICU RN experience, valid nursing license, drivers license, insurance, skills in stroke assessment, cardiac rhythm interpretation, vent management, trauma and drain management, medication titration, and EKG interpretation
• Support within the Department: House Supervisor, charge nurse, RT (Respiratory Therapist) accessible 24/7, hospitalist available 24/7, intensivist rounds Mon-Fri, VCC contact overnight, bedside and central tele monitoring RN staff, and phlebotomy on dayshifts
• Technology/Equipment: EPIC EMR system, Alaris IV pumps, Phillips monitors, Omnicell medication dispensing system
• Floating: Floating to Med/Tele, ICU, PCU (if open), ED, within region and scope of practice, as needed, including within Stanly and other facilities within the region
• Orientation: 2-3 days departmental orientation
• Other Notes: Scrub color navy, no T-shirts or Crocs, free parking, team-oriented unit culture emphasizing communication and constructive feedback, holiday work at 75%
