Job Summary: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing high-acuity patient care in a Level 2 trauma center with stroke certification. The nurse will float between units, including cardiovascular and neuro-intensive care, and must be proficient in telemetry monitoring and ventilator troubleshooting.
Job Details:
Schedule: 12-hour days, with every-other-weekend commitment, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid licensure to submit, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, minimum of 2 years of relevant ICU experience.
Preferred Qualifications: None listed.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information: The unit operates 24/7 with in-house respiratory therapy support. Nurses are expected to read telemetry strips independently and troubleshoot ventilators. The facility features a trauma level 2 designation, with pharmacy support available around the clock and drips that require titration.
