• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,680 - $1,770
• Patient Ratio: 2:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Unit Census: Approximately 13 patients
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Job Requirements

• Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license at the time of submission
• 2 years of ICU or critical care experience preferred; first-time travelers are okay
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic experience preferred
• Strong critical care nursing skills with the ability to manage complex cardiac and medical patients
• Ability to float to like units as needed within scope
• Availability to work night shifts and every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill ICU and CVICU patients
• Care for cardiac and medical patients with conditions such as ARDS, respiratory distress, AKI, DKA, CABG, STEMI, and NSTEMI
• Manage ventilated patients and support patients requiring multiple drip titrations
• Monitor and intervene for advanced critical care therapies, including CRRT, Impella, IABP, and hypothermia protocols
• Support open heart recovery and post-cardiac surgery care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, phlebotomy, radiology, and rapid response services
• Maintain accurate documentation and deliver safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced intensive care environment
