Job Summary:
The ICU Nurse position is based in the Bay Area region. This role involves providing care in a 24-bed intensive care unit with a staff of approximately 50 healthcare professionals. The position requires working night shifts, with a focus on high-acuity patient care and advanced clinical procedures.
Job Details:
Location: Corpus Christi, Texas
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; ICU experience preferred; minimum 1 year of relevant experience; Texas nursing licensure
Preferred Qualifications: Level 1 or 2 trauma experience; cardiovascular surgery experience
Clinical Responsibilities: Performing intubation, central line placement, bronchoscopy, EVDs, ICP monitoring, Swan-Ganz catheter placement, and bolt insertion
Personnel Requirements: Ability to provide excellent customer service skills
Unit Information: 24 beds, staffed with 12 registered nurses, 1 clinical nurse coordinator, 1 unit secretary, and occasional sitters
Unit Equipment: Vents, Swan-Ganz catheters, Impella devices, balloon pumps
Unit Policies: Staff may be scheduled for every other weekend; on-call duties may be assigned, but only for scheduled shifts
Dress Code: Scrubs in royal blue
