Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse opportunity located in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role involves providing specialized patient care in a 24-bed ICU unit, with a focus on critical care procedures and teamwork within a fast-paced environment. The position is scheduled for night shifts, offering a chance to contribute to patient recovery and recovery outcomes in a prominent healthcare facility.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Must have at least 2 years of ICU experience, with consideration for 1 year of strong ICU experience. Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Outgoing personality and team-oriented attitude are ideal.
- Unit Description: The ICU at this facility consists of 24 beds with a staffing ratio of 1:2 (or 1:3 for progressive care unit boarders and 1:1 for higher acuity cases such as intra-aortic balloon pump, continuous renal replacement therapy, or open heart procedures). The unit is equipped with EPIC documentation system and has staffing support including one Critical Care Technician or Ultrasound Technologist during day shifts if patient load is high.
- Procedures Performed: Rapid Sequence Intubation, Central Line Placement, Ventilator Management, Vasopressor Administration, Arterial Line Placement, Chest Tube Placement, Bronchoscopy, among other ICU skills.
- Additional Information: Floating to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or as a sitter within the inpatient hospital areas may be required. The dress code is scrubs in Caribbean Blue. Staffing may include working three weekends within a four-week period.
