This high-acuity Neuro ICU cares for critically ill neurological patients, including:

Neurological Conditions

  • Ischemic Stroke
  • Hemorrhagic Stroke
  • Subarachnoid Hemorrhage (SAH)
  • Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
  • Seizures
  • Status Epilepticus
  • Spinal Cord Injuries

Specialized Neuro ICU Care

  • External Ventricular Drains (EVD)
  • Intracranial Pressure (ICP) Monitoring
  • Post-Operative Craniotomies (Direct from OR)
  • Interventional Radiology (IR) Patients (Direct from Procedure)
  • TNK Administration & Monitoring
    • Approximately 50% of TNK administrations occur on the unit versus the ED
