Job Summary:

Intensive Care Unit registered nurse position available in Joplin, Missouri. This role involves providing advanced patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting, supporting a diverse patient population including medical, surgical, trauma, and stroke patients. The position requires delivering quality-driven and patient-centric care on night shifts.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours, 1900-0730, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association, PALS, TNCC, with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a high-acuity Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for complex patients in a level II trauma center, certified in stroke and STEMI care
  • Physical Location: 100 Mercy Way, Joplin, MO 64804
  • Unit Information:
    • Number of Beds: 24
    • Patient Ratios: Typically 1:2, may vary depending on patient acuity and staffing
    • Equipment: IV pumps, chest tubes, GE monitoring systems, Artic Sun, glucometers, feeding pumps
    • EMR System: EPIC
  • Additional Information:
    • Candidates must be flexible, dependable, and demonstrate strong teamwork skills.
    • Attire: Black scrubs, with no T-shirts or sweatshirts not approved by the facility.
    • Flu vaccination is required from November 1 to April 1, with no exceptions or declinations accepted.
    • The position involves floating to areas within clinical competence and being prepared to stand by for low census with a one-hour notice to report.
