Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Nampa, Idaho. This role involves providing critical care to patients with conditions such as heart failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, strokes, and post-surgical situations, among others. The position requires the ability to work night shifts and deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ICU environment.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with weekends as needed and first to float.
- Schedule: 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Must have ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications; one year of experience in an ICU setting is preferred; candidates should be team players; RN license required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with titrating drips such as Propofol, Levophed, Dobutamine, Vasopressin, Fentanyl, Epinephrine, and Diltiazem; experience with ventilators, high-flow oxygen, Bipap; ability to read strips from Spacelabs monitors.
- Unit Specifics: The ICU has 10 beds, nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, in-house hospitalist and Telehealth intensivist coverage 24/7, RT staff available 24/7, and minimal CNA support (one per shift). The environment includes ventilators, high flow oxygen, Bipap, and titratable medications.
- Patient Population: Patients with complex diagnoses including sepsis, strokes, GIBleeds, post codes, PNA, post surgical care, and those requiring CRRT (although travelers will not be assigned to CRRT cases).
- Float Policy: May float to Tele ICU, Meridian, and Boise ICUs, maintaining a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio when floating.
- Dress Code: Any clean, professional attire.
- Orientation: 1 to 2 shifts of clinical orientation based on experience.
- Additional Notes: Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility, with verification of address prior to profile review.
