Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is responsible for providing continuous high acuity care to critically ill patients. This role involves working with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Monitor and manage patients with complex medical conditions, including those with mechanical ventilation, a-lines, and balloon pumps.
• Float to other units such as ED, ICU, or UCU as needed.
• Follow all hospital protocols for scheduled weekend and holiday shifts.

Requirements:

• Active IL RN license.
• CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• 2+ years of ICU experience with strong critical care skills.
• Experience with Epic and completion of a skills checklist, EKG test, and submission of a recent reference.
