Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Neuro ICU Registered Nurse with a strong background in neurological intensive care. The ideal candidate will have experience managing patients with neurological conditions and be proficient in various procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Neuro ICU.
• Monitor and assess patients' neurological status and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Manage and operate external ventricular drains (EVDs) and lumbar drains.
• Care for patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) and other neurological disorders.
• Conduct NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) assessments as necessary.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience with Epic EMR.
• Strong Neuro ICU experience required.
• Ability to float to other units and locations as needed, performing tasks within established competencies.
• Current nursing license.
• NIHSS certification is required.

Work Schedule

This position requires a commitment to a day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM).
