Job Summary
ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Carlsbad, New Mexico. This assignment involves providing comprehensive patient care in a 12-bed ICU setting, with a focus on ventilator management, titratable drips, patient hygiene, and critical care responsibilities. The position requires floating to Emergency Room (ER) and Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) departments as needed, with a primary schedule of days.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, 2+ years ICU experience, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support). Floating to ER and Med Surg departments required. ER and Med Surg experience preferred. TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred. Experience with ventilators, titratable drips, medication mixing, and patient hygiene preferred.
• Additional Information: Candidate must have at least 2 years of ICU experience. Fluency in ventilator management, titratable drips, and ability to perform patient care tasks, including hygiene and assessments, are essential. FINGERPRINTS for all travelers are required, and candidates must be registered with the state of New Mexico as the fingerprint process can take several weeks. The unit utilizes MedHost electronic medical records. No call requirement. Holidays are required. The nurse will float to ER and Med Surg departments, assisting with patient care, blood draws, IV starts, and transport.
