Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850–$1,950
• Location: Bel Air, Maryland
• Healthcare Setting: Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, approximately 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend

• Charting: EPIC
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted
• Floating: Required within specialty and acuity level

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent ICU registered nursing experience
• Active Maryland or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Current AHA ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Demonstrated experience caring for high-acuity adult and geriatric patients
• Ability to float within scope of practice and work across comparable ICU acuities
• Comfort with overnight schedules, rotating weekend coverage, and a fast-paced critical care environment

ICU Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in the ICU
• Monitor and manage patients with stroke, renal failure requiring CRRT, myocardial infarction requiring IABP support, respiratory failure, pneumonia, diabetic ketoacidosis, post-cardiac arrest conditions, and surgical critical care needs
• Care for mechanically ventilated patients and manage continuous IV sedation
• Interpret arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Provide central line and PICC line care, initiate and maintain IV access, and administer blood products and emergency medications
• Assist with chest tube insertion and removal and support advanced critical care procedures
• Participate in CRRT/CVVHD, hypothermia protocols, and intra-aortic balloon pump management
• Apply infection-prevention practices and collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response, radiology, IV services, and other interdisciplinary teams
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC and communicate changes promptly to the care team
