ICU Registered Nurse (RN) – 20-Week Night Travel Contract in Bel Air, Maryland

ICU Registered Nurse (RN) needed for a 20-week night travel nursing contract in Bel Air, Maryland. ICU Travel Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850–$1,950
• Location: Bel Air, Maryland
• Assignment Type: 20-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights, approximately 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
• Call: None
• Floating: Required within specialty and acuity level
• Charting: Epic
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients

ICU Registered Nurse Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent ICU or surgical ICU nursing experience
• Active Maryland or Compact Registered Nurse (RN) license at the time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
• Current NIHSS certification
• Critical care experience with ventilated patients, CRRT/CVVHD, intra-aortic balloon pumps, dysrhythmias, chest tubes, central lines, and continuous IV sedation
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, emergency response, and interdisciplinary communication skills
• Ability to float within the nurse’s scope of practice and assigned acuity level
• Required flu vaccination

ICU Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to critically ill adult and geriatric patients
• Manage patients with stroke, renal failure requiring CRRT, myocardial infarction requiring IABP support, respiratory failure, pneumonia, post-cardiac arrest conditions, DKA, and surgical ICU needs
• Monitor mechanically ventilated patients and interpret arterial blood gases and cardiac rhythms
• Administer emergency medications, blood products, and continuous IV sedation according to clinical protocols
• Provide central line, PICC line, chest tube, and other invasive device care
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond effectively to emergencies and rapid deterioration
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, IV teams, rehabilitation services, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Epic
