Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse – Night Shift

  • Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00 – 07:30 | 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week
    • Scheduling Details: Block scheduling permitted. All pre-approved time off (RTO) must be submitted at initial profile presentation (no post-offer RTO approved).
    • Orientation Day 1: Traveler will work a full 12-hour shift on Day 1 in scrubs and orient directly to the unit floor.
  • Candidate & Local Policy: Local and travel candidates accepted. Candidates residing $\le$50 miles from the facility are categorized as local. Former staff employees are ineligible for travel assignments.
  • Health Compliance Mandates: COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed).

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]

  • Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 1.5 to 2+ years of recent clinical ICU experience in an acute care setting [HARDSTOP].
  • Licensure Requirements [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]: Active New York State RN License strictly required in-hand [HARDSTOP]. Must have a clean background with no license hits/actions [HARDSTOP].
  • Telemetry Competency Exam [HARDSTOP]: Must pass a 15-question multiple-choice telemetry assessment with $\ge$80% on Day 1 of orientation (covers heart blocks, arrhythmias, paced rhythms, interval measurements, and emergency interventions). No telemetry techs on site—nurses interpret strips independently [HARDSTOP].
  • Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]:
    • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification [HARDSTOP].
    • Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification [HARDSTOP].
    • Active NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification [HARDSTOP].
  • EMR System:Allscripts EMR experience preferred.
