ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to work in a high-acuity Intermediate Care Unit (IMC). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience, with strong skill sets in critical care nursing. First-time travelers will be considered if they possess significant IMC or ICU experience.

Contract Details

• Start Date: 10/5/26
• Contract Length: 8 weeks
• Shift: Night shift (3x12 hours, 20:00 - 08:30)
• Weekends: Required every other weekend
• Holidays: Required as scheduled

Responsibilities

The ICU Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

• Providing high-quality care to adult and geriatric patients in the IMC unit.
• Monitoring patient conditions and initiating appropriate interventions.
• Floating to the ICU as needed based on unit demands.
• Assisting with lower acuity overflow in Medical-Surgical/Tele units when necessary.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, and CPI.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, particularly in ICU or IMC.
• Strong critical thinking and clinical skills.

Patient Ratio

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3, with the potential for adjustment based on patient acuity levels.

Additional Information

Floating within the specialty area and to lower acuity units will be required as part of this role.
