16-bed ICU with approximately 13 daily census, caring for adult and geriatric patients.
Patient population includes DKA/HHS, COPD, ARDS, respiratory failure, AKI/renal failure, sepsis/septic shock, MODS, post-cardiac arrest, stroke, and substance overdose.
CRRT and chemotherapy administration are performed in the unit.
Uses Epic EMR with specialized equipment including Prismaflex/Prismax CRRT, Masimo hemodynamic monitoring, and Spacelabs monitoring.
Self-scheduling with 1:2 ratios on days, nights, and weekends.
Float required to sister ICUs including SICU, CICU, and NSICU; ratio may increase to 1:3 when caring for a 1:1 specialty patient.
No call required.
Minimum 6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks.
28 orientation hours listed in unit details.
48 hours are not approved.
Facility is a Short-Term Acute Care, Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds.
