Job Summary:
The Wisconsin Intensive Care Unit (ICU) RN position is based in Portage. The role involves providing critical patient care in a medical and surgical unit including joint replacements and general surgical patients. The unit has 11 beds designated for covid patients, and the position requires a dedicated and resilient healthcare professional capable of managing change and working effectively within a team.

Job Details:

• Location: Portage, Wisconsin
• Shift: 12-hour variable day/night shifts
• Schedule: The shift consists of rotating 12-hour day and night variables per week, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Wisconsin RN license (American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) certifications required)
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU, Med/Surg experience, travel experience required
• Skillset: ICU and Med/Surg competent staff, strong team player, assertive, confident in skills, capable of managing change, social, and hard-working
• Additional Requirements: Willing to float to Aspirus Stevens Point, Plover, and Riverview; no on-call/backup required, but additional shifts may be available for sick call coverage; COVID and flu vaccination required or masks during flu season; orientation week hours are non-billable
• Unit Details: Covers both medical and surgical patients, with emergency focus for COVID patients; team-oriented environment requiring resilience and social skills; scrub colors are dark blue
