Job Summary: ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a general medical and neuro-intensive care setting. This role involves caring for adult patients with complex neurological and critical conditions, requiring specialized neuro experience and familiarity with advanced equipment. The position offers night shifts with a schedule of 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, starting on November 2, 2026.
Job Details:
Certifications and Qualifications: Valid state licensure (compact license accepted), ACLS, BCLS, and NIHSS certifications. Must have at least 1 year of critical care experience, including neuro-specific skills and experience with specialized equipment such as CRRT- Prismaflex or Prismax, and Impella devices.
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours weekly.
Responsibilities: Management of ventilated patients, arterial line management, neuro patient care, specialized procedures including insertion and removal of chest tubes, blood product administration, and continuous IV sedation.
Additional Requirements: Willingness to float between similar units as needed to meet facility needs. Candidates must have previous experience working in neuro-critical care settings.
Submission Details: Candidates must provide responses to specific pre-screening questions, including prior experience at Providence facilities and references covering at least one year within the last three years.
Additional Information: The position is located in an acute care hospital with 392 staffed beds, offering free parking and a comprehensive support team including radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams.
