Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in North Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care in a mixed ICU, working every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital staff. The position emphasizes skills in managing ventilated patients, telemetry monitoring, and performing critical procedures within a specialized environment.

Job Details:

• Location: North Charleston, SC
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: 36 months RN experience, with at least one year in an ICU setting; certifications include BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale; must be proficient in telemetry interpretation, ventilator management, and advanced hemodynamics; BSN preferred with additional certifications such as TNCC preferred
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel nursing experience, especially in facilities utilizing Meditech; experience with CVICU procedures like CRRT, balloon pumps, Swan Ganz, and neuro procedures including EVDs and induced hypothermia
• Additional Information: Travelers are expected to participate in unit-specific policies and procedures; float policy includes potential assignments in emergency department or Progressive Care Unit to support patient care needs. Experience with post-op cardiac and neuro procedures preferred. Candidates interested in developing skills for Neuro ICU or Cardiovascular ICU are encouraged, as training opportunities are available.
