Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse Madison, WI
This critical care position involves providing advanced nursing care in a Magnet-certified hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center. The role offers opportunities to work across diverse ICU settings, including Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU, and Trauma Surgery, supporting adult populations with acute and complex conditions.

Job Details

• Position Description: Evening/Night shifts, 8 and 12 hour shifts, 1900-0730, with every other weekend and some holidays required. Will accept 4x12-hour shifts if preferred.
• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or compact license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, minimum two years of recent acute care inpatient RN experience in the specialty, experience with multiple ICU units (Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU, Trauma Surgery), and pass clinical telemetry test prior to starting.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Responsibilities: Must be competent in multiple ICU specialties, including management of arterial lines, ventilated patients, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and advanced cardiac and neurological monitoring. Will participate in floating to Neuro ICU, CVICU, Burn, Trauma, MSICU, and IMC-Progressive units as required.
• Certification & Skills: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, experience with arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line management, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction, and advanced cardiac life support procedures.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must meet all certification, licensing, and clinical experience prerequisites to be considered.
