Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in an acute care setting. This role involves providing critical care to adult patients with complex conditions such as trauma, cardiac events, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, stroke, and respiratory distress. The RN will be responsible for managing various drips, interpreting telemetry data, and collaborating with healthcare support technicians to deliver comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours minimum per week, starting on 09/28/2026 and ending on 12/28/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting. Travel driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required; typically to progressive care units, occasionally medical-surgical units, with patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5.
• Additional Information:
  • Candidate must pass a pass/fail skills exam on Wednesdays during orientation, achieving at least 90%.
  • Fingernail policy prohibits artificial nails in patient care departments.
  • RNs will be responsible for troubleshooting nasal cannula to vent equipment.
  • Self-scheduling available for core staff; travelers included. Block scheduling not guaranteed unless weekends only.
  • Holiday commitment of a minimum of two holidays within the contract period.
  • On-call policies apply; candidates have 30 minutes to respond if called back.
  • RTO submissions must be within 7 days of contract; additional requests will not be approved.
  • Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
  • Charting system used is EPIC.
