Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position located at a healthcare facility. The role involves providing patient care in a high-acuity setting, managing critically ill adult patients with conditions such as trauma, cardiac issues, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress. The position requires adherence to hospital protocols, including advanced certifications and clinical skills management.

Job Details:

• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, with a schedule from 09/28/2026 to 01/18/2027, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Certifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale).
• Required Qualifications: Licensure to submit; a minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience in intensive care nursing; high school diploma or equivalent; location requirements; valid drivers license, and current certifications are necessary.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ventilator management, titrating drips such as cardiac, insulin, and sedation; familiarity with Epic electronic charting system; and ability to interpret cardiac strips.
• Schedule: Self-scheduling allowed for core staff; travelers added to the rotation. Shifts are from 06:30 to 18:30 or 18:30 to 06:30.
• Responsibilities: Management of adult critically ill patients, including titrating drips, troubleshooting ventilator equipment, monitoring and interpreting telemetry, and responding to emergency patient needs.
• Additional Information: Candidates may be required to work holidays; every other weekend; one shift of specific unit orientation; RTO requests limited to 7 days or less upfront. Floating to PCU or Medical-Surgical units may occur, maintaining patient ratios of approximately 1:2-3 on the ICU and 1:4-5 on float units.
