Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) specialty position is located in a Level I trauma setting. The role involves providing care for adult patients with critical health conditions, with an emphasis on trauma cases. The selected candidate will work on day shifts, utilizing comprehensive knowledge of trauma protocols and advanced patient management skills.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 3x12 hours, minimum of 48 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, certification in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS; Epic electronic charting experience; valid license in state or health care compact jurisdiction
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I experience, PALS, TNCC certification, prior experience in community hospital and LTAC settings, previous charge nurse experience, experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, ICP monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IVs, ventilator management, trauma ICU experience
• Float: ICU, Intermediate Care (IMC), Telemetry as needed
• Additional Information: The position involves working in a trauma intensive care unit with 14 rooms and 16 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The daily census averages 14 adult patients. All onboarding must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing, including core items and labs. Modules during orientation are non-billable and completed onsite. Candidates must hold a valid license at the time of submittal and adhere to state residency restrictions.
