Location: Duluth, MN
Position Description: Critical Care RN responsible for identifying patient conditions, recording deviations from normal, initiating discharge planning, and overseeing care for stroke and cardiac patients, ensuring Core Measures are in place.
Certifications: MN RN License, Basic Life Support (AHA/ARC), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA/ARC), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). TNCC and CCRN preferred. Must have ACLS at the time of submission.
Education Requirements: Associate Degree or Certificate
Experience Requirements: 1-year minimal acute care experience within critical care. Preference for recent experience within the past 3 years.
Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Responsibilities include participating in nursing rounds, recognizing signs of abuse, reporting abnormal diagnostic data, maintaining proper supplies, and managing independently with resilience and adaptability.
Additional Information: Candidates with demonstrated contract experience in colder climates are preferred to ensure reliability during weather events. The role may involve float responsibilities between critical care units and lower acuity units as needed.
