Job Summary: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in a hospital setting. This position involves working in a high-acuity, critical care environment with a focus on patient monitoring and management of complex conditions. The role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to respond efficiently to acute patient needs.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid licensure with WA or Compact license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS certification; minimum 2 years of ICU experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Prior floating experience in hospital settings, general hospital orientation including unit-specific modules, EPIC experience, and high acuity cardiac and neuro patient care experience.
Float: Float rotation may be required, including assignments to Critical Care Unit, Observation, Med Surg, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Short Stay Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Telemetry, and Progressive Care units.
Unit Orientation: General hospital orientation, Myles modules, Cerner validation, and on-unit orientation (two ICU shifts).
Additional Information: The charge nurse creates assignments at 6:45 AM to 6:45 PM, with RN self-scheduling and unit-specific dress code of Royal Blue. The unit maintains a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1-2 depending on acuity, with 1-3 for lower acuity cases.
