Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in a hospital setting. This position involves working in a high-acuity, critical care environment with a focus on patient monitoring and management of complex conditions. The role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to respond efficiently to acute patient needs.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid licensure with WA or Compact license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIHSS certification; minimum 2 years of ICU experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior floating experience in hospital settings, general hospital orientation including unit-specific modules, EPIC experience, and high acuity cardiac and neuro patient care experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required, including assignments to Critical Care Unit, Observation, Med Surg, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Short Stay Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Telemetry, and Progressive Care units.
• Responsibilities: Managing high-acuity patients, titrating and setting rate drips (e.g., Epi, Norepi, Dobutamine, Propofol), reading Phillips monitors, and performing patient assessments.
• Unit Orientation: General hospital orientation, Myles modules, Cerner validation, and on-unit orientation (two ICU shifts).
• Additional Information: The charge nurse creates assignments at 6:45 AM to 6:45 PM, with RN self-scheduling and unit-specific dress code of Royal Blue. The unit maintains a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1-2 depending on acuity, with 1-3 for lower acuity cases.
