Job Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
  • At least 1 year of RN experience required
  • Critical care, Med/Surg, stepdown, or Emergency Department experience preferred
  • Current BLS certification required
  • ACLS preferred at hire and required within 6 months of hire
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a high-acuity ICU environment
  • Comfort with dysrhythmia interpretation and critical care workflows preferred
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care to critically ill patients in the ICU
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, develop plans of care, and evaluate patient response
  • Administer medications safely and according to established nursing standards
  • Monitor hemodynamics and respond quickly to changing patient conditions
  • Care for patients requiring advanced support such as ventilators, CRRT, IABP, Impella, ECMO, chest tubes, and central lines
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care
  • Support families and caregivers with communication, education, and care coordination
  • Promote patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice
  • Maintain professionalism, adaptability, and calm under pressure
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to adult and geriatric populations
