Travel Nursing Job Details

• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend

• Floating: May float to cardiovascular ICU, intermediate care, and additional ICU settings as needed

ICU Registered Nurse Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or an active compact RN license in hand
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Strong patient assessment, clinical judgment, and care coordination skills
• Ability to work scheduled day shifts, including every third weekend
• Applicants must meet applicable travel nursing assignment eligibility requirements

ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in a Medical ICU
• Continuously assess patients, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary critical care team
• Manage complex patient needs, prioritize care, and respond effectively to critical events
• Accurately document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families
• Adapt to floating assignments while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care
