Job Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of assignment or compact licensure eligibility
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Experience in critical care, stepdown, or emergency nursing settings strongly preferred
• BLS required prior to patient care; ACLS preferred at hire and required within 6 months if not already obtained
• Dysrhythmia exam required
• Ability to care for adults and geriatric patients in a high-acuity environment
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to safely work in a fast-paced healthcare environment with changing patient needs

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for critically ill patients in an ICU/CCU setting
• Perform detailed assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient responses to treatment
• Administer medications and manage therapies in accordance with nursing standards and protocols
• Monitor hemodynamics and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Care for patients requiring advanced support modalities such as ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, pressors, CRRT, IABP, Impella, SWAN-GANZ monitoring, and ECMO as needed
• Support post-surgical, cardiac, neuro, and other high-acuity patient populations
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team
• Float to appropriate levels of care when needed and maintain flexibility with unit needs
• Promote patient safety, infection control, and compassionate, evidence-based care
• Maintain professionalism while adapting to a weekender schedule and shifting clinical priorities
