Compensation & Schedule Details
- Hours & Shift: 12-hour variable shifts (36 hours per week). Target start date: November 9, 2026. Contract length: 13 weeks.
- Weekend & Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend and every other holiday required.
- Distance & Radius Rules: Strict 50-mile radius rule (contractors must live outside 50 miles from the facility).
- Low Census & On-Call: Contract is eligible for up to 36 hours of low census unbillable hours. Travelers can be low censused and placed on-call (call-back minimum is 2 hours). GSA is not applicable during orientation week.
Key Facility Policies & Floating Mandates
- Floating Requirements: Required to float to alike units within skillset, as well as to other Aspirus locations within a 40-mile radius (Tomahawk, Howard Young, and Eagle River). Floating can/will be pre-scheduled if needed.
- Vaccination Policy: During flu season, any traveler who declines flu and COVID vaccination is required to wear a mask at all times (mandatory Aspirus policy; no exceptions).
- Charting: Epic (no prior Epic charting experience required).
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required (prior critical access/rural experience highly preferred; pediatric patients are occasional pediatric surgical cases like ENT or ortho).
- Licensure: Active Wisconsin (WI) RN license or multi-state compact RN license in hand.
- Certifications: AHA or Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS required at submittal.
