Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) in Petoskey, Michigan. This position involves providing critical 24/7 care to unstable, critically ill patients, managing life-support equipment such as ventilators, and performing comprehensive assessments. The role demands a dedicated professional capable of functioning in a fast-paced environment and adhering to the organizations strict attendance policies.

Job Details:

  • Location: Petoskey, Michigan
  • Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts
  • Schedule: Shift hours are from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:
    • 1+ year of ICU experience (floating is not considered)
    • Valid Michigan nursing license (LARA and Nursys verification required)
    • EKG experience
    • Skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties
    • Ability and willingness to float to similar units such as Neuro, CVICU, and Trauma
    • Certifications: ACLS and BLS
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in Neuro, CVICU, and Trauma units
    • Managing Vents, CRRT, and Balloon Pumps
  • Additional Information:
    • This position has a strict 3 strike attendance policy effective from 6/1/2024. Absences or lateness over 20 minutes thrice result in immediate termination, with exceptions only for communicable diseases or hospitalization with supporting evidence.
    • Submission requires valid Michigan license verification and a skills checklist completed within the past year.
    • The traveler is not eligible for shift incentives and must make up call-ins within the contract period.
    • Holiday Rate applies from 7:00 PM of the holiday to 7:00 PM of the same day.
