Job Summary
Client is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Critical Care Unit (CCU) on a 13-week local contract. The ideal candidate will have recent ICU experience and be confident providing high-quality care to critically ill adult patients in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill ICU/CCU patients.
- Perform ongoing patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and blood products according to physician orders.
- Operate and monitor critical care equipment, including cardiac monitors and infusion pumps.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BSN required.
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred).
- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced critical care environment.
Schedule Requirements
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Every other weekend required.
- Every other holiday required.
