Job Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• At least 1 year of experience in a clinical specialty, ICU, or acute care setting
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing patient needs in a fast-paced hospital environment

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to ICU boarders in the PACU unit
• Monitor, assess, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, patients, families, and interdisciplinary care team members
• Support trauma overflow and other high-acuity patient needs as assigned
• Float to the ED for ICU holds or to other ICU/stepdown units based on census and staffing needs
• Direct nursing support staff in accordance with nursing standards and unit policies
• Maintain professional, compassionate, and high-quality patient care throughout every shift
