Job Summary Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse located in Sacramento, CA. This position involves providing specialized critical care to patients with conditions such as ARDS, Sepsis, and Chronic Ventilation, within a busy hospital setting. The role requires managing complex medication drips, interpreting EKGs, and collaborating closely with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
Position Description: ICU Nurse for a unit with 11 RICU beds, handling patients with diagnoses including ARDS, Sepsis, DKA, and therapeutic hypothermia. Responsibilities include line placements, intubations, and titrating various vasoactive, sedation, Heparin, and Insulin drips.
Certifications and Qualifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS; minimum two years of critical care experience required; active license to practice in the state.
Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: ICU pharmacy available 24/7, and unit orientation includes two shifts in Medical ICU plus additional in Trauma, Neuro, or Surgical ICUs. May float to CSICU within scope to all Sacramento facilities.
