Job Summary The ICU - Intensive Care Unit Nurse, located in the healthcare provider's facility, provides specialized care to critically ill patients. This role involves assessing, planning, and delivering high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and promoting recovery while adhering to all relevant standards and practices.
Job Details
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with every other weekend.
Required Qualifications: Current New York State Registered Nurse License; BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross); at least 3 years of nursing experience; experience with intensive cardiac patients including CHF, COPD, end-stage heart failure, cardiogenic shock, septic shock, GI bleeds, CRRT, IABP, Impella, and normothermia; proficiency in ICU procedures such as stroke thrombectomy/TNK; skills in collaboration, communication, judgment, organization, planning, problem solving, quality, reliability, safety, and risk management.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing; CCRN; relevant skills certifications such as ACLS, PALS, TNCC.
Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, participating in interdisciplinary teams, supporting unit initiatives, maintaining professional development, and performing duties related to the Charge Nurse or Shift Coordinator when assigned. The role emphasizes a patient-centered approach and the application of current evidence-based practices.
