ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position requires candidates to possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing quality care in a challenging environment.

Unit Overview

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a 20-bed Level III Trauma Center dedicated to the care of adult patients with a variety of complex medical conditions. The patient population includes individuals with diagnoses such as:

• Substance Abuse/Overdose
• Severe Psychiatric Conditions
• Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
• Sepsis
• Gastrointestinal Bleed
• Respiratory Failure
• Cardiac Arrest
• Renal Failure
• Cardiogenic Shock

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of continuous experience in a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
• Ability to read telemetry strips
• Telemetry competency required
• Must be willing to float to Medical/Surgical units as needed

Shift Information

• Available shifts: Nights; rotation on weekends is required
• Shifts may include rotation between various day and night hours as necessary

Patient Care Ratio

The RN to patient ratio will vary based on patient acuity:

• 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity patients
• 1:4 or 1:5 when floating to other Medical/Surgical areas

Required Certifications

• Active RN License in the state of practice
• Current AHA BLS Certification
• Current AHA ACLS Certification

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System

Our charting system utilizes EPIC for patient documentation.
