Key Responsibilities of the RN – ICU

Provide advanced care to ventilated patients and those with common ICU diagnoses including stroke, overdose, GI bleeds, and trauma
Manage critical care medications, ventilators, and invasive monitoring equipment
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage wound care, and administer blood products
Ensure safe patient ratios and adhere to established protocols
Requirements of the RN – ICU

Current RN license
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
NIH Stroke Scale certification
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
