Requirements

• Active Washington State or Compact RN Licensure
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Adherence to all relevant policies and unit standards
• Compliance with the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards
• Willingness to float as a sitter and rotate as needed

Job Functions

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality patient care with compassion, using the nursing process and unit standards.
• Develop, implement, and continuously reassess individualized patient care plans.
• Administer medications and perform nursing procedures and treatments.
• Evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness and make necessary adjustments.
• Document patient care, assessments, plans of care, interventions, and responses accurately.
• Collect and utilize patient information to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Conduct thorough ongoing assessments of patient status and respond accordingly.
• Determine and implement nursing actions that address the physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs of patients.
• Provide education to patients, families, and significant others, offering timely health information and written materials.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of workflows, processes, and evidence-based procedures.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Engage in performance evaluation and improvement processes with management.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration with all members of the healthcare team.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with established policies.
