Requirements:
2 years of ICU experience required
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the unit
LTACH/LTAC experience preferred
Neuro experience required
BLS, ACLS & NIHSS required
1+ year of Epic experience required
Previous charge experience preferred
No travel experience required
Must be willing to float between ICU and Med-Surg
Every other weekend coverage
Adult and geriatric patient population
Description:
12-bed LTACH ICU within a 35-bed Med-Surg unit
Staff may work in both ICU and Med-Surg
Patient population includes ventilator weaning, wound care, spinal cord injuries, tracheostomy and PEG patients
Provide care for critically ill adult and geriatric patients in an LTACH setting
Manage complex ICU conditions including respiratory, neurological, cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic disorders
Perform cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, central/arterial line care, ventilator management, and medication titration
Collaborate with Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, and other support teams
