Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). This position involves providing high-quality patient care during night shifts, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients in critical condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients within the Medical ICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using the EPIC documentation system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float to similar units or other facilities in the area as needed to provide coverage.
• Participate in training and education sessions to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.

Schedule

This position requires preparing for shifts that may involve a 4x12-hour night schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekend coverage will be required every other weekend, though this may change based on operational needs.

Qualifications

• Active South Carolina Registered Nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting.
• At least 1 year of experience using the EPIC documentation system.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS.
• Ability to float between units within the facility or to other facilities as required.
• First-time travelers will be considered based on experience.

Contract Duration

This opportunity may range from 13 to 26 weeks, with an emphasis on providing coverage during the holiday season.
