Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in hand
• Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU nursing or critical care experience
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work effectively in a high-acuity ICU environment
• Ability to float to related critical care units as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled bedside care for cardiac open heart surgery patients and ICU patients with complex medical and surgical needs
• Monitor patient condition, assess changes, and respond quickly to evolving clinical situations
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, coordinated patient care
• Administer treatments, medications, and interventions according to established protocols and physician orders
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold a high standard of patient safety and quality care
• Float to Medical ICU or Surgical ICU assignments as needed based on unit needs
