Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Critical Care Registered Nurses to provide high-quality care in a dynamic and challenging environment. As part of a dedicated team, you will work within a 14-bed critical care unit, serving adult and geriatric patients with complex medical and surgical needs.

Unit Details

The Critical Care Center features 24-hour intensivist coverage, ensuring patients receive continuous and comprehensive care. The unit emphasizes the importance of teamwork and excellence in patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert nursing care to critically ill patients, including ventilator management and sedation titration.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and manage cardiac dysrhythmias effectively.
• Provide post-STEMI care and support for patients recovering from cardiovascular events.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve competency in critical care skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in core critical care skills including ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Evidence of relevant continuing education; CCRN certification is preferred.

Scheduling Requirements

This position involves 12-hour night shifts with rotating weekends and holidays. All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application, limited to a maximum of three days, and cannot include holidays.
