Voca Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Johnson City, New York.
Shift: Night ICU - 12 nights, 36/week, every 3rd weekend Required Certs: BLS, ACLS
Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN), protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and through advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The RN is responsible and accountable for compliance to all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. Job Responsibilities: -Assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements and evaluates nursing care in managing a group of patients, serving as a primary nurse and/or accountable nurse, when designated by unit assignment and consideration of factors related to safety, effectiveness, competency, cost and impact. -Educates patient and family in health promotion and disease management using available resources. -Utilizes a working knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications according to UHS Hospitals policy. -Shares in responsibility for productivity and effective resources utilization including staffing, time management, supplies and services.
Required Skills: [ "EPIC"]Education: Required Education: -A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Preferred Education: -Bachelor s of Science degree in Nursing. Required Certifications & Licensure: -Current New York State Registered Nurse License. -BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)
Preferred Certifications & Licensure: -CCRN. -Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC)
